Currently, Google focuses more on how long a web page has been on the Internet, rather than the number of links which have been placed into the text or within the html coding of the site. The update has been designed to make it more difficult for sites to stay ahead of the competition through SEO. Google’s SEO team also confirmed that they are working on an improved ranking algorithm in the future. However, it is too early to speculate what this new formula will be.
